Discover the simple steps to ensure proper Paint Protection Film (PPF) aftercare for your vehicle. Trust Wrap ID’s expert guidance to maintain the quality and durability of your PPF. Learn the correct methods for cleaning, protecting against scratches, and preserving the protective properties of the film. Follow these easy steps to ensure you’re taking care of your vehicle’s PPF the correct way.

1.

INTIAL CHECK UP

We suggest booking a date about 10 business days after the initial installation for a check up just to ensure that everything okay.

2.

DO NOT WASH

After installation, do not wash your vehicle for 48 hours to allow the edges to dry.

3.

ALLOW TIME TO CURE

Most if not all water bubbles will go away within 2-4 weeks. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH THEM while they are still curing as it will trap the water and will NOT DISAPPEAR IF TOUCHED AND WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

4.

USE 99% ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL

Stubborn stains can be removed with 99% isopropyl alcohol. Please becareful to keep these chemicals off the vehicle’s paint.

5.

CERAMIC COATING IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

To have the best finish on your PPF, we recommend getting a ceramic coating installed

6.

HANDLING LIGHT SCRATCHES

Light scratches in the film will self-heal in 20-30 minutes at room temperature. In colder conditions, or to accelerate the process, pour warm water (50°C) over the affected area.

7.

AVOID HIGH PRESSURE WATER

Avoid using a pressure washer or high-pressure water source near the edges of the film, it can cause the film to lift and/or become damaged and will NOT be covered under warranty.

8.

USE DETAILING CLAY

Detailing Clay can be used to remove contaminants that are on the film.
